Make sure your homepage makes the right first impression.

The guidelines below are quite general, so make sure you assess there relevance to your industry.

• A clear and concise proposition - covering what your company does and who you do it for.
• Social media links - we've made sure they're visible for you already and enabling you to share content.
• Easy to use navigation - your website has a simple to use menu system make the menu titles easy to understand and follow.
• Contacting you - we've made it easy for people to contact you with click to dial number in the header and contact details in the footer.
• Blog and News focus - if you've opted for this option you'll see you have a latest news/blog post feature.
• Client testimonials - research shows that consumer trust online reviews and testimonials, so show your company in a positive light with our easy to use testimonial system.
• Video - adding a simple video to your homepage which introduces your business can be a great way to engage visitors.
• Images - high quality images. Where possible to try to use images from your business - it builds credibility but it's acceptable to use stock images.
• Overview of services - if you've opted for the option with quick link panels on the homepage you can use these or make sure you menu headings are service focused.
• Certifications and Accreditations - you can include these the body content on your site with links.
• Clear Call To Action - there are lots of options on your homepage to create call to action messages. Use quick link panels, carousel, body text or all of them!
